Professional Development for Practitioners involved in Onsite Wastewater Design, Assessment and Installation in Tasmania
Designers, Regulators and Installers of Onsite Wastewater Management Systems in Tasmania are invited to attend the following workshops:

The Tasmanian Government Consumer Building and Occupational Services (CBOS), Department of Justice, seeks to provide practitioners involved in the Design, Assessment and Installation of Onsite Wastewater Management Systems with a Professional Development opportunity to enhance the transfer of appropriate information in the design, assessment and installation of onsite wastewater management systems.
The workshops are co-ordinated by The Centre for Environmental Training and Master Plumbers Tasmania with support from The Tasmanian Government Consumer Building and Occupational Services, Department of Justice and Advanced Enviro-Septic (AES). There is no charge to attend these workshops.
Workshop Locations:
Wednesday 6th December 2017: Hobart: Work & Training, 1 Bowen Road, Moonah 7009.
Thursday 7th December 2017: Launceston: Work & Training, 26 Elizabeth Street, Launceston 7250.
Friday 8th December 2017: Devonport: Work & Training, 56 Oldaker Street, Devonport 7310.
At each venue there will be two sessions:

For: Onsite System Designers and Local Government Officers (Environmental Health Officers) involved in the Assessment of Applications for Onsite Systems
Program:
• Requirements of the Tasmanian Regulations and the Obligations of the Designer and Regulator
• Site Assessment
• Soil Assessment
• Preparing an Onsite Design
• Transfer of Information from Designer to Installer
• Achieving the Desired Outcome

Time: 4.00pm – 7.00pm
For: Onsite System Designers and Onsite System Installers
Program:
• Requirements of the Tasmanian Regulations and the Obligations of the Installer
• What the Installer Requires from the Designer
• Building the Approved Design
• Achieving the Desired Outcome

At each location, there will be 20 places available for the Designer/Regulator workshop and an additional 10 places for Installers, the idea being that Designers will stay on at the later workshop with the Installers.
